Entry #10: Animal testing

Image
Hi all you readers hope you're staying Quietly Awkward as me and thanks for tuning in today. Have you guys ever hear of animal testing?  Animal testing is basically used to examine certain products or medicines on animals and observe them to see the outcome and effects before handing them to actual people. To the majority of society, animal testing is considered something that protects people from consuming something bad that can cause damage to one’s body, but people who think animal testing is a positive step towards our safety are probably uneducated and manipulated by companies who use animal testing hiding from the truth about the chemicals they use that could kill animals while taking advantage of customers. I personally think  People should stop promoting and buying from animal testing companies because animal testing can be considered unpleasant for the reason that it’s very deadly to animals and we as people use animals as pets for support of compass and animals...

Entry #9: Topics in Food Quest

Image
Hello everyone welcome back to Quietly Awkward hope you're having a wonderful day. With that in mind I would like to continue discussing among the topic of food from my 7th blog. If you guys recall, we discussed how people don't seem to realize how bad the food and farming industry is because it contains poor chemicals and antibiotics that can damage and drastically change one's body but we didn't discuss the further consequences that can also occur. Look at the image below and what do you see. I see a corn that was made with ethanol and is fuming out costs and pollution. I could make an inference that this photo is demonstrating the destructive social and demographic effect happening because of the majority of food industries are using drugs in their crops. More specifically how companies are using harsh chemical to quickly grow bigger crops only to cost a lot of money adding on to the problem of poverty in America but also pollution which is negatively affecting our ...

Entry #8: Friendships in one's life

Image
Hello readers I'm back again with another blog, and today I want to focus your attention on friendship. I truly value friendship and believe it's a key part of everybody's life. Personally, my friends are amazing and I fully know I can trust them, so I'll be discussing the traits that make them unique and make our connection so strong.       The first friend I would like to mention is my friend, Valeria, my friend Valeria is a very funny person, I have mentioned her in one of my other blogs, and she tends to look, and sometimes act, mean but has a True Heart of Gold. The important part is I can openly laugh around her most of the time and she tends to bring my mood up. I can truly tell her anything without feeling judged and can relate to her in personal ways that I can't relate to anybody else.             Another friend I would like to speak about is my friend Linda, my friend Linda is a very smart and loving person. S...

Entry #7: Fresh

Image
Hey everyone, welcome back to another blog of mine today. I wanted to discuss the importance of knowing what you're consuming. Have you ever stopped and looked at the nutrition facts in the back of your food? or wonder about the process it took to create what you are currently eating? If not, watch the documentary “Fresh” and you'll understand the importance. The documentary Fresh describes the business behind food companies and how they produce meats and crops faster to gain more money from people. Also, farmers can find a way to produce organic and very trusting Foods for the health of others. The purpose of this documentary is to criticize the food industry and how the system needs to change because it's corrupted by chemicals and Pesticides that can harm a person very badly.  One person I'm inspired by in the documentary is Joel Salatin by follows his Father's Footsteps and produces healthy and organic animals and crops. He also shows how much he truly cares abo...

Entry #6: Humor influences

Image
Hello everybody, hope you're having a wonderful day and are out there celebrating life. One thing I would like to discuss is comedy specifically where I got mine. I've been told by many that I’m very funny and I believe in myself and hopefully get to know myself better.  The first person is Adam Sandler. My favorite Adam Sandler movie is Grown Ups and I remember as a child my dad loved him and always had one of his movies on and I would sit and watch.  Another person or people that inspired me is these YouTubers called KNJ which stands for JC and Kian. They are my favorite dynamic duo to watch and hilarious. Their jokes feel so easygoing and seem like they are not trying to be funny and it’s always a blast watching them.  One last person who has inspired my comedy palette is my dad. Ever since I was young my dad has been the funniest person I know. In sad or serious situations you can always count on him to brighten the mood and have the whole room into laughter. He has s...

Entry #5: Mint

Image
Hello everyone, how are you guys doing in whatever time zone you are in? I'm back with another blog and today I wanted to discuss mints. Mints always hold a special part in my heart, they are offered, given, and taken by friends and family, and hold memories. There is one that comes to mind when I think of mints. In this blog, I would love it if you participated in a game where you have to guess the mint brand I’m discussing. This particular one is a circular shape very small but very powerful at the same time and is whiter than paper or snow. When I first lay my hands on the packaging it makes the sound of tin or foil being used when opening it. Then when getting it there are multiple and there is a bit of white powder residue surrounding each one. As it lays in my mouth it melts gradually and breaks down into smaller pieces. If I were to bite into it, it would be hard to do but it's yet on the softer side compared to others. It has a very fresh and cool taste, and leaves my...

Entry #4: life as a First Generation

Image
Hey everyone, I hope you are having a wonderful day and make sure to tell your parents how much you appreciate them. As a first generation, I’ve dedicated my life to studies and trying to earn, not only my high school degree but my college degree. This is why I’m in the ace program and why I am in AP classes to get a Headstart on my college path and to be successful in life so hopefully I can be a person that changes lives, and can strive like my parents hope for. My parents are very hard-working people and I am very motivated by them and look up to them. I wish to not only to match the steps they took to have the amazing jobs they have now but to do better. As a first generation, I want to make my parents proud and because I have the ability to college unlike them. My mom, Claudia, was an immigrant. She came to the United States when she was a baby, preventing her from getting her college degree but because of her hard work, she works for the cit...
